The market

Central Asia is opening up. European houses are awaited

Five republics, 80 million people, capitals transforming before your eyes: Central Asia is one of the most dynamic regions in Eurasia, and one of the least covered by European brands. For a house, that is a rare advantage: arriving early.

Landmarks

Major houses are already there

The market is not a hypothesis: leading international houses already operate in the region. A few public examples.

  • Louis Vuitton, Dior and Saint Laurent in Almaty
  • Cartier and Tiffany & Co. in Almaty
  • Premium multi-brand boutiques in every capital

Hospitality

  • The Ritz-Carlton in Astana and Almaty
  • The St. Regis in Astana

Retail and beauty

  • Carrefour in Tashkent
  • Zara and Mango in Almaty
  • Yves Rocher across the region’s capitals

These brands are not Arche & Partners references: they illustrate the maturity of the market.

The momentum

A region under permanent construction

New cities are rising from the ground, business districts are reshaping Tashkent and Astana, latest-generation malls open every year. Governments invest massively in infrastructure, and a young, connected generation that travels between Dubai and Istanbul already knows European brands.

The demand exists. What is still missing are the brands themselves: in most of these capitals, European houses can be counted on one hand. The first to arrive will take the best places.
